Originally from the West Midlands, Yolanda is now studying and practising in London for a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Practice (Dance) at internationally acclaimed Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London (2013-2015). Before making the leap into performance, she attended St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge Univerisity where she studied a degree in Modern and Medieval Languages: Spanish and Italian (2009-2013).

Her decisive shift to the world of performance was influenced by her year spent living in Havana, Cuba where she studied ballet at the world famous Ballet Nacional de Cuba and undertook independent written projects.

In her practice she incorporates performance art, dance, video installation, film making and performance writing.

A border-crosser of an Artist, Yolanda’s work has been described as dangerous, explicit, and post-post-modern.
